the times they are a changing

Borrowing from Bob Dylan is rarely my MO. no other title seemed more befitting of basically the most transitional period, period. The band has a new face, while maintaining a similar sound, and the team, that's been working on this project, has moved in another direction, leaving the pro/an- tagonist...to fend for himself until the finest in promotional and professional management mans the fuck up and gets on board!
Damn i haven't written in a while

I swore last time- i would be more diligent about keeping my website up to date and interactive...but let's be real, i write songs and perform them for a living...most of what i do is a perpetual diary...experience life, write about it, sing it to you people, often with some long winded story about something completely unrelated to the moment...did you know Dick Cheney lit his office on fire? In any case, i'm working on a new record and a new outlook on life...not one that abandons the old out look, one that enhances my dream...but let's not dwell to long on that...my frequent flyer miles are growing greatly, new cities are alot of fun to play for and to visit, and LA and i have been having a love affair now for a while...My producers, LOONER, a dynamic duo with mad street cred, and an alliance with Ziggy Marley (a true representation of peace and love and not selling out) means that the energy is allocated in the right spot, i believe. Beyond that, i would say, i've slacked on press, and new venues in Miami, but my right hand woman keeps getting it done- having an ally in this up hill battle is a blessing, and knowing the progress of the last six months is hard to really sum up in this blog... so, i guess that's it for now...i have the best fans and friends and family in the world, and love is in the air, i hope every one votes...

November 28, 2006
This Past sunday, a holiday-ed out, Brendan took the stage at World Cafe Live in downtown Philly to compete in the second of three rounds as philly's rising performer. Brendan's competition was as ecelctic as it was strong, but in the end a democratic vote put Brendan into the thrid round which will take place Jan 27th at the very respected, and acoustically astounding Main Stage at wxpn studios... one of the most supportive indie radio stations in the country. Thanks to those who came out and those who sent their positivie vibes. Mark the Date Jan 27th! in the city of brotherly love.

Bob Weinberg has written a really humbling peace on Brendan's career and what it means to remain part of a band that has worked so hard, while still trying to be a dynamic solo performer. Thanks Bob, for such a classy write up. It also had a a full page picture by photgrapher Darryl Henderson

October 24, 2006
Brendan O'Hara & The Humble Ones were recently named Best Rock Band of 2006 by City Link Magazine! We feel honored. Thank you, City Link. The exposure that gives us is immeasureable and comes at a great time as we're readying two new releases, Brendan's solo record "Soapbox" and the full-band release, "Five Days" (or some other title, maybe.) Anyway, know that we're blown away by the honor and are very proud to be named as the best amongst some of our other local favorites and friends like Raffa and Rainer, TSDW, Brimestone, Suenalo, Tourche, and Guajiro.
